USING TECHNOLOGY TO EXTEND INDEPENDENCE
IMPROVING DAILY ROUTINE AND SAFETY
By deploying existing, familiar technology, we are improving the daily routine and safety of those living with dementia. Through shared calendars, location sharing, and customizable notifications, Simon makes it possible for people with dementia to live autonomously for longer. Our app leverages big data and Machine Learning to develop “nudge technology,” or behavioral nudges, that recognize and support behavioral pattern abnormalities, such as wandering at strange times or in strange directions, and guide people who have dementia and their caregivers to safety and autonomy.

FOR CARE PARTNERS
PATTERN ABNORMALITY RECOGNITION
Combining location services, nudge technology, and machine learning, SIMON supports and alerts users and care partners to behavioral abnormalities, improving their independence and quality of life.
LOCATION SHARING
Location sharing allows for care partners to see where their loved one is in real time. This way those with dementia can still travel independently but caregivers can track them in case of emergencies.
SHARED CALENDAR
Use the shared calendar to coordinate between partners, healthcare professionals, and other family members more effectively. This will reduce the risk of missing appointments or failing to complete other tasks.
FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA
CUSTOMIZABLE REMINDERS
Adjust reminders to best fit the needs of you and your loved ones. Notifications can be turned on to remind you of when appointments are happening or when you should take your medication.
BEHAVIOR RECOGNITION
& MACHINE LEARNING
SIMON learns the habits and behaviors of people living with dementia and provides them with personalized support based on those habits.
